Lisa Copeland, 1970 - 2020

This site is a tribute to Lisa Copeland who sadly passed away in February 2020.

Lisa was a much loved daughter, sister, friend, niece, colleague and support to so many people in so many ways. She was a truly amazing, beautiful, strong, brave and inspirational woman and will be desperately missed.

My name is Clare and I am Lisa’s younger sister. There are so many beautiful things that I want to say about my sister that I don’t know where to start.

Please do share your thoughts and memories of Lisa by adding to this site - you can add an event to the timeline, share photos, music or videos or leave a 'thought' or light a candle. It would be lovely to hear from you.

Lots of love from Clare, Lisa's sister x

Thoughts

Dear Lisa, I can hardly believe it has been over a year now since I last saw you. I often think about what you would have made of all that has happened since then. I miss having your wise counsel and you remain very much in my thoughts. With best wishes as always, Alex

Lisa I’m sorry this is so late. I haven’t stopped thinking about you, remembering both the great and the not so great times. When you love someone you can’t have one without the other. I remember how you were one of the only people who was there for me when I was too ill for anyone else to care for me. I remember how you never took the piss out of my craziness. I remember all the really thoughtful gifts you gave and made: the feather artwork, the Christmas Eve box, the aloe vera. The night we met those boys down on Brighton seafront. The trip to the London Transport Museum. The Sussex Partnership Awards. There are so many more. What I’m most grateful for is that there is a side of me that nobody but you ever understood or made space for. Thank you for that. I would love to carry on your amazing work as an expert by experience in mental health, and do you proud. Then hopefully the incredible love you have given me and others will become immortalised in lasting Positive Practice 🤞 We will all miss you. Wherever you are, you are still unique, selfless and beautiful. ❤️💚💜 🤗
